We, the Student Council of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and Sandberg Institute, are excited to announce the open call for a designer in residence!
The Student council is launching its first open call for a designer in residence. The initiative aims to foster a post-study opportunity for Rietveld and Sandberg alumni to stay engaged with the institution and its student body. The open call welcomes EU and non-EU artists and designers who are interested to work together with us on a multitude of projects spanning 10 months, with monthly assignments, meetings and payment.
who are we?
We are a group of students from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and The Sandberg Institute. As a council, we want to lend a hand, share knowledge, and listen carefully. We are here as representation and see ourselves as a bridge providing students and staff with information and resources. We are here to create a place for more care and would like to cultivate an even ground for all students. The Student Council was formed from student-organised initiatives and has since become an officially paid working student position in the academy, each year around November we look for new members. We have an advisor and a coordinator. We have a non-hierarchical organisational and decision-making structure. If you would like to get to know the kind of work we have done in terms of content and visuals, you are welcome to browse our project page.
